My husband and I have been taking our car here for a few years now and continue to be pleased not only with the work but with their prices. Since 2020 we've had to do our front and rear brakes and both times I looked at other places for quotes and North County Auto easily beat the quotes by over $100 for each job.

After receiving word from my local mechanic in Lake Tahoe that I needed a new power steering box 3 days from the start of my long awaited vacation, I decided to look for a mechanic in North County SD to get a 2nd opinion and possibly do the work for me. I made an appointment with Rex at North County Auto Service for the day after I arrived in town. He was very helpful and reassuring on the phone, so I looked forward to taking my car to them. Their review of the vehicle confirmed my mechanic's findings and I booked the service on the spot. Everything from the check-in and then pick up of the vehicle was effortless. Mike was also very kind and made the whole experience easy. They really care for the customer and the quality of service was beyond exceptional!

Bought an old Prelude with a supercharger, amongst other aftermarket parts. Took it to Honda and they could only “do so much”, seeing as it wasn’t stock. Took it to North County Auto after reading other reviews online and couldn’t be happier. No more check engine light, steering wheel click, exhaust smell or battery problems. They work on all types of vehicles whether they are stock or not, didn’t overprice the services, and were a pleasure to deal with.
