This place is great! Mike is the best. He has been my mom's mechanic for about 25 years now and my mechanic for the past 10 years. He is always fair and doesn't try to rip you off. Previously, I had taken my car into the dealership b/c something with the brakes/tire/wheel was making a weird noise and I figured it may be under warranty, so I naturally went to them first. After they checked it out, their mechanics said that it was my tires against the road making the weird noise and that I probably just needed to change that tire and rotate all the tires. I wasn't sure that was the reason but figured it was time to change a tire or two so I replaced that one. Once I got the car back, I noticed it was still making the same noise. I decided to take it here and have them check it out. One of the mechanics road with me so I could point out what exactly I was hearing as it was a faint noise. Within a few hours of these guys checking it out, they found that it was a ball bearing that needed to be replaced. I took it back to the dealership and showed them what North County Auto Service had found. They ended up replacing the ball bearing (it was in fact under warranty) and apologized for not finding it themselves. Now, I just take it straight to them and if it is something under warranty, I will take it to the dealership but if it is not, then I just have them fix it.
