If I could give North County 10 stars I would definitely do so! My daughter had her car towed here. We were told that they would do a diagnostic test and find out what the problem was. They gave us a very reasonable quote but unfortunately, the damage to the vehicle was more extensive than they thought. They did not charge us for the diagnostic test, labor or part that they ordered. They even had my daughter's vehicle towed to the Dodge dealer free of charge!!!!! Fortunately the problem was covered by the Dodge power train warranty. I tell everyone about what they did for us and everyone says "Wow!!" Rex and Mike were great! I would highly recommend them. We do not live anywhere close to Oceanside but would consider taking our cars there anyway.

If I could give TEN stars, I totally would give them TWENTY!!! Mike (the owner) and his dad Sandy provided the BEST customer service one could ever ask for from an auto repair shop. North County Auto Repair is LEGIT!!! My 2004 Nissan Xterra had been out of commission for about 2-3 months. It took me so long to get my car fix because the scmuck at EconoLube (my biggest mistake) quoted me $900+ for repairs on my transmission, amongst other things he was throwing at me. Now keep in mind, im a typical girl who doesn't know much about cars or maintains her vehicle. So after given that quote, I had to put off fixing my car and drove it down to the ground...that's when my car went kapoots!I perused through Yelp for an auto shop that had great reviews, and stumbled upon North County's 5-star rating. I called up the shop and Mike answered. I explained to him my car problem and he took my car in that morning (via tow truck). He gave me options of either riding with the tow guy, or having the tow guy drop off my car and he'd call me to confirm its arrival and inspection. I opted to just send the tow guy with my car.Later in the day, Mike calls me to follow up and he shares with me the concern. I'm thinking about that $900 quote from Econo Lube, but when Mike explains the issue were my belts and quoted me $500 plus, I was shocked and surprised that I had Mike jump right into the repairs....WHAT A RELIEF!!!My car was ready the next day! Not only did they fix my problem, but they also replaced my wipers (which were already very bad) and washed my car! They replaced the fluids and checked everything else in between. I WAS VERY IMPRESSED WITH THEIR SERVICE!! I plan to continue business with them, and so should you!!!THANK YOU MIKE AND SANDY!!!

Mike and his team were polite, friendly and knowledgable. They diagnosed my car within a day and provided an estimate before moving forward with any repairs. They alerted me to another problem with my car, a wear item, and suggested replacement. They stayed a few minutes late to meet me. They worked within my budget and were helpful about advising me which repairs were necessary to the safety of the vehicle and which ones could wait another month. The repairs were affordable and came in close to or on estimate given. I would recommend them to a friend or neighbor and will take my car there again.

It's hard to find a shop that you trust. I found this place on yelp and gave it a shot. Mike the owner, took my truck in the day before I went on deployment and battled the warrant company every day for two months to approve the claim. This shops work is above standard and they even went above and beyond by trying to determine what cause to my trucks problems were by measuring the alignment of the frame. I have definitely found my local shop that I trust and will take all my vehicles here for anything as long as I live in the area.

I found this shop through a co-worker who recommended it. I drive a 2004 4Runner with 190,000 miles on it. I normally have my vehicle serviced at Toyota of Carlsbad, but actual mechanical work, I prefer a place that actually cares about customers and doesn't charge astronomical fees. With that said, I took my co-workers advice and brought my vehicle here. After having a conversation with Mike, they agreed to run a diagnostic test to confirm what the issue was. Turned out it was a small crack in a head gasket. At my vehicle's age, I was not surprised, but knew replacing that head gasket was going to be extremely expensive, and most likely not worth the investment in such an old engine. Much to my surprise though, Mike did not go straight for the jugular, but instead recommended another much cheaper option to try to repair the issue. He was honest and upfront in explaining that he could not guarantee if his alternate solution would work, but he had done the same for a few other customers with a similar issue, and that it had worked for them, and it MIGHT work for me. His solution worked, and after 5,000 more miles, I have had no issues. Even if it didn't work, I still would have (and do) appreciated Mike's professional service and honesty. Hard to find these days in the automotive repair industry, so thanks Mike. I now choose to bring my vehicle here for all my vehicle's needs. Oh, and unrelated, I also like that they take their weekends off. I appreciate owners taking care of their employees.

Mike and his crew are amazing. brought my truck in and within a couple of hours knew what was wrong and what we had to do to fix it. And it didn't cost an arm and a leg! I highly recommend North County Auto for your automotive needs.

NCAS is the only place I will go for any auto work. They are the very best I've ever worked with. They do everything they can to fix it right the first time while keeping the cost as low as possible.

I had my vehicle inspected and repaired by North County Auto a couple weeks ago, and I have encountered no issues with the repair work since. During my short time with them, they proved to be nothing but professional and genuinely concerned about the customer's satisfaction, a traditional method overshadowed by mass "shotgun" tactics of larger companies nowadays. As a result, they seem to have developed a solid clientele and have ultimately included myself into the group. I personally dealt with an associate named Alex, who was above all honest with the costs, saving me money where possible, by minimizing labor and explaining in black-and-white terms the break down of where that money would be applied. Furthermore, I sacrificed no convenience as I was offered transportation to a rental agency where I received a vehicle for a day at a discounted price. In all, what I had thought would have been a long, disparaging experience, came to be a painless, professional, and genuine service .
